1. Bradford: £414
The city with the cheapest average room rent in the UK is Bradford in North Yorkshire, just a 30 minute drive from both Leeds and Manchester. Bradford has recently been crowned UK City of Culture 2025, winning funding to develop the city’s activities and events, making it the fastest growing city in the UK right now.
2. Hull: £421
Next up is Hull, located in East Yorkshire, with an average monthly room rent of £421. The city is not too far away from Yorkshire’s scenic countryside, giving you the perfect balance between urban and country life. Receiving almost £20 million to regenerate the city centre, Hull is another UK city experiencing exciting growth in retail, office and residential developments.
3. Stoke-on-Trent: £423
