SpareRoom 2021 flatshare census - competition terms & conditions

The prize draw is open to all UK residents (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) aged 18 years or over, except for employees of Flatshare Limited t/a SpareRoom (“SpareRoom”), their families, agents or any third party directly connected or associated with the planning or administration of the prize draw.

The prize draw is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.

All entries must be submitted via the flatshare census and only one entry per person is permitted. If you enter more than once, your first entry will be accepted and all others will be disqualified.

The opening date for entries is 10.00am on 12.01.21. The closing date of the prize draw is 10.00am on 26.01.21. Entries received after this time will not be considered.

SpareRoom accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed, or which are delayed, corrupted or not received for whatever reason, including any technical fault.

A winner will be chosen by random draw performed by a computer process on 26.01.21.

There are 3 winners. The winners will each receive a £75 Amazon e-gift voucher.

The winner will be notified by email (using details provided at entry) before 01.02.21 and must provide the email address they want the e-gift card sent to, to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond to SpareRoom within 14 days of being notified by SpareRoom, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited and SpareRoom will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.

The prize will be sent to the winner by email within 14 days of being notified of their win.

The Prize for the winner is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.

SpareRoom reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond SpareRoom’s control make it necessary to do so.

SpareRoom’s decision regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into about it.

SpareRoom must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation, SpareRoom will send the surname and county of the winners to anyone who emails press@spareroom.co.uk or writes to Flatshare Limited t/a SpareRoom, 162 Brick Lane, London, E1 6RU (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the closing date stated in paragraph 6. If you object to any or all of your surname or county being published or made available, please contact SpareRoom by emailing press@spareroom.co.uk. In such circumstances, SpareRoom must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. SpareRoom reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize, to anyone in breach (including by using multiple entries or acting fraudulently or dishonestly) of these terms and conditions.

SpareRoom reserves the right to hold void, cancel, amend, withdraw, terminate or temporarily suspend this promotion where it becomes necessary, including in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or technical reason outside its reasonable control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties, but will use all reasonable endeavours to avoid consumer disappointment.

Insofar as is permitted by law, SpareRoom, and its agents, will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of SpareRoom or its agents or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

The prize draw will be governed by English Law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
